Nobody Knows the Trouble I See, Nobody Knows the Sorrow....

Aiden does not like sleeping in his crib. We've been trying to get him used to it again by getting him to nap in his crib. He has fun playing in there, until that is, he get's sleepy. Then he looks like he's in prison and begins to wail. He just looks so pitiful in these pictures, and then he realizes he can stand up!

Mommy is SO Funny!

One afternoon I entertained Aiden with a pig puppet that I got at a class I took. While we were playing, the pig pretended to eat a duck rattle of Aiden's and spit it out because it was "yucky." Aiden thought this was hilarious! He even fell over with laughter! My friends have been telling me I'm funny, and clearly they were right! ; )

Cool baby!

Check me out in my shades.

I'm looking good!

I'm so cool!

Do I look like a rock star?

I AM a rock star!

Aiden got his first pair of sunglasses for the summer, and he LOVES wearing them. He thinks it's hilarious! He crawls around and laughs when he has them on. You can't help but smile when those sunglasses are on!

On the Move!

This slideshow documents Aiden's journey in movement...from pushing up to now pulling up! It won't be much longer until he is walking (oh, no...look out!). I've also attached the video of one of Aiden's first crawling sessions. Take note of how fast he's moving....he's only gotten faster! Go speed racer, go!

Who Let the Dogs Out?

Aiden loves dogs!!! He loves going to Grandma's and seeing Uncle Kevin's dog, Savannah. When we go home he has a dog that resembles Savannah some, especially in color. This is one of his favorite toys. He constantly plays with the dog and talks to it as if it were actually Savannah!

Little Drummer Boy

Aiden absolutely loves the drum Uncle Kevin got him for Christmas! He makes a beeline for it whenever he sees or hears it. Now that he's able to pull himself up on his own, he goes into his toybox and pulls it out (or just dumps it out) just to be able to play with it. Check out his musical talent!

Rub A Dub Dub...

Aiden hated bathing for the first few months, but now he loves it! He loves splashing in the water and chewing on his rubber duckies. So much splashing has taken place that we have had to move his tub to the "big tub" instead of the sink. He doesn't enjoy the sound of the water coming out of the faucet, so that does make bath time quite interesting (as if it weren't already)!

Aiden's First Foods

Well, it's been a while since we've been able to put anything up on the site, so we've got to go back a little while to catch up with all of Aiden's firsts. These were pictures of his first tasting of baby food. He had already had rice cereal, but I think this is peas. Now he likes eating lots of things and is beginning to feed himself.

Happy Easter!

Happy first Easter! What a day! Aiden got his first Easter basket, complete with fuzzy bunny, 1-2-3 book, his first Hot Wheels, and candy (for Mom and Dad). We went and ate dinner with both of our families and Aiden was very well behaved, of course. We had a great time and a very relaxing day.

Got Ice Cream?

We sent these to Cathy in Arizona, who happens to LOVE ice cream! Aiden invited her to come share his treat, but couldn't wait any longer and decided to dig in himself! Sorry Cathy!

My Future's So Bright....I Gotta Wear Shades!

Aiden tried on these sunglasses in Target, but he didn't like them very much. Maybe we'll try some different ones before we head to the beach this summer!

Cutie Pie!

Here lately, everyone who meets Aiden comments on how long his eyelashes are. We knew they were long, but looking at some of his pictures, we were amazed at how long they really are. They touch his eyebrows! What a cutie!

Should I Be Sneaky?

As you can see in the first picture, Aiden seems to be developing a sneaky side....I wonder where he gets that from?!?! But it looks like he is also weighing the possible consequences of how Mommy might react if he actually goes through with it. I think we're in for it...he's going to be a hand full!!!! On a side note, surprisingly Aiden loved wearing his hat! He looked so cute !

Playtime Fun!

Aiden has just recently grown just tall enough to be able to jump in his bouncer! He loves playing with the toys on board and often takes some of his links or chewy zebra with him for even more fun. It's so funny to watch him jump up and down...he is so proud of himself. Aiden wants to sit up all the time now so that he can see everything that is going on around him. He has his own little support chair that he likes to sit in an play with his favorite toys. He has a good time chewing and dropping his toys. We're working on picking them back up! Aiden will look at his dropped toys beside his chair, but still prefers Marko or me to hand them to him. I'm sure that will last for awhile!

I Love Reading!

Aiden has already developed a love of books! He enjoys being read to and reading (ok....looking at the pictures) on his own. His favorite book right now is Squishy Turtle and Friends. He loves all of the bright, shiny sea creatures, the way the cover makes a "crinkle" noise, and apparently, the way it tastes! He is drawn to anything in print and will get quite upset if he cannot look at the reading material with you (as we found out this morning with the phone book). He likes to feel everything with his hands (and sometimes his mouth) and wants to be the one to turn the pages. Aiden's well on his way to being a great reader!

Aiden's First Christmas

Our first Christmas was wonderful. We spent the morning at Grandma and Uncle Kevin's house, where Aiden received his first Christmas ornament in his first stocking. He wasn't quite sure what to make of everything, but he was very alert, looking at every gift. He especially liked the LeapFrog alphabet drum Uncle Kevin gave him. It will definitely be one of his favorite toys! Aiden had so much fun, he fell asleep (sitting up) while the rest of us opened gifts.

We spent the afternoon and early evening with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Shassae. Grandma loved the new digital camera she got and immediately began snapping pictures of her favorite grandson. Aiden got a new sweatsuit that he will hopefully be able to wear soon! We had a great time with our families and were blessed to share this special time with them.
